Altered bird house-steampunk

hello all
I made this project yesterday , after getting lots of comments and likes for my .steampunk bicycle.
Found this bird house lying in a corner of my room ( waiting to be altered since 2 years)
Did some research on google and pinterest , did some brain storming, rummaged trough my husbands hardware drawer, and finally started it. Really happy the way it turned out.

Process
I started with hot gluing the various hardware to the bird house.Used  plastic anchors for the ladder , jewelry clams for decorating the edges, fan from bead landing, made rivets from liquid pearls, added some wire , hot gluing them at the back of the fan , and then attaching them to the metal plate.

cover each and every spot with black gesso( this takes maximaum time)
dry brushed the cream pearlescent powder from ranger. THis highlights all the texture. Make sure you use an old brush .

Second layer of dry brushing is metallic copper acrylic paint to give some rusted look.
then finally dry brush some golden pint , to give shine to the project.
Allll done
